An era of engagement comes to an end: after 15 years as the driving force of the youth red cross, St. Martin's NMS director Manfred Spenlingwimmer hands over the district management to the experienced teacher and new director Alexandra Pröller. His successor is continued by a dedicated team under Pröller's instructions, which ensures the continuity of the important work in the youth red cross, as reported on meinziR.at.

addiction prevention in Upper Austria - a breakthrough for cooperation

In the meantime, a remarkable anniversary was celebrated in Upper Austria: 30 years of addiction prevention. At a press conference on October 25, 2024, high-ranking health experts raised: inside, including LH-Stv.in Christine Haberlander and Prim. Dr. Kurosch Yazdi-Zorn, the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation. These collaborations have contributed significantly to the fact that a professional network for addiction prevention in the country could be established. The institute in Linz has established itself as a competence center, which is recognized far beyond the national borders, as is explained on praeIVERVIRE.AT.

Both events not only examine the importance of volunteering in the health sector, but also the need for structured and well -organized measures to promote life rescue and addiction prevention in society. The youth protection engagement of the youth red cross is continued by the continuous work of Alexandra Pröller, while addiction prevention in Upper Austria not only acts locally, but also as a model for other regions.
