Germany's most successful breeding duo on a championship trip to Portugal
in Leiferde, Lower Saxony, bundled two of the most successful canary breeders in Germany, Wolfgang Kasimir (70) and Udo Reichelt (68), their strength to break recordes again at the upcoming championship in Portugal. After triumphals, the two breeders have given their attention to the last challenge after triumphals, including the triple title defense: the World Cup on January 24th and 25th in Santa Maria da Feira. There they will compete with their Paris trumpeters with the aim of leaving the competition as unbeaten masters. This championship will be a great achievement for the duo, not least because of its impressive history, which includes 13 world championship titles and numerous other awards in less than a decade. Kasimir demonstrated these successes in Slovakia with his first international competition in 2009 when he rose directly to the two -time European champion, such as waz reports .
fascination for the canary
The passion for breeding canary birds is more than just a hobby for Kasimir and Reichelt. They combine magnificent breeds such as trumpeter, Nordholländer, Agi and Cress in their breeding community, which currently includes around 80 birds. Despite the successes, the challenges of breeding should not be underestimated. "It is exhausting to defend your titles every year and keep yourself at the top," explains Kasimir. He adds that successful breeding requires a lot of specialist knowledge, especially about inheritance theory and the care of the birds. "This is my compensation for the job," he says, because he also works at a security service and takes care of events. Working with the canaries is a welcome balance for him, as well as tz reports .
It is important for the two breeders to find a place in the world of canary birds even after their retreat from the active breeding. Kasimir is thinking about doing "a little less strenuous", while Reichelt is already thinking about the fire brigade, where he has been active for 53 years. The time together with this fascinating hobby will continue to exist after the championships, for the two breeders it is clear: the path was exciting, and the future will bring new - perhaps less stressful - adventures.Details | |
