Equal opportunities for young people: Think of driver's license tests!
In the “Schehonme” project at Werk GmbH, the imbalance in the driver's license test system becomes clear. During a comprehensive examination, it turned out that the existing theoretical examination system for class B with its approx. 1,500 complex questions overwhelms young people with learning and reading difficulties. These barriers often lead to a double disadvantage, as AK President Andreas Stangl emphasizes: "The driver's license should not be an insurmountable hurdle, especially if it is required for many professions". In order to ensure equal opportunities, a simplification of the exam questions is required, which should be formulated at a more understandable B1 language level in order to do justice to the learner, orf.at .
As part of the project, young people up to 29 years from Upper Austria are accompanied by coaching and learning support on their way to the driver's license. In an innovative approach, youth at work ensures that this target group receives the necessary support in order to successfully master the exams. A trouble -free exam setting is also important to promote concentration.

The youth at Werk GmbH pursues a visionary strategy that focuses on people at the center of their trade. It relies on social participation and equal opportunities with a clear focus on diversity and inclusion. The organization sees the activation of civil society as essential in order to make the framework of social work sustainable. These principles of the protection of participants and life orientation are not only anchored in driving license training, but also in all services of the organization, as Jaw.or.at
