Father from Schwäbisch Hall kills baby: 10 years in prison!
In a stuffing turn of events, the Heilbronn district court sentenced a man from Gambia to ten years in prison. The reason for the drastic measure: At the end of a party night, the case of a boy from Schwäbisch Hall that was only ten months old shook the entire region. The father, overwhelmed as a single parent, could no longer endure his child's screams and literally struck the strands. According to Image the little boy was shaken and his head was hit against a fridge.
This fatal result of the excessive demand ended according to Image in massive skull and brain injuries, which led to the child's death in the hospital a few days later. The baby's mother, who lives separately from the father, received an hour's right to visit every week and had previously informed the Child Protection Association about hematomas and scratches, which she had discovered in her child. But unfortunately this help came too late.
overshadow of lack of sleep and despair
The tragic incident occurred in the apartment of the then girlfriend of the 28-year-old father at the end of January while she was still sleeping. Both had celebrated until late at night. In court, the accused stated that he had acted in affect due to the lack of sleep. At first he claimed, however, that the child slipped out of his hands while wrapping, such as the SWR revealed in her report.
The negotiation took place in the tranquil Heilbronn, but the waves of the scandal hit far beyond. The defendant had learned the language in Germany, graduated from secondary school and completed an apprenticeship, but with the role as a single father, the circumstances seemed to overwhelm him. Doctors in the process also revealed that the little boy already had older rib breaks, as was already noticeable when the mother visits.
court draws the consequences
The verdict was clear: the perpetrator will now see the in -house prison for ten years and has to pay the mother 15,000 euros in compensation. The court made it clear that on the one hand there was an excessive demand, but on the other hand there was no reason for the brutal act. With this judgment, the court almost completely met the public prosecutor's request, only a milder punishment was imposed. The defense, however, left open whether it would go into revision to contest the verdict.
Despite the severity of the crime, the judgment shows clear edge and sends a clear signal that extreme violence against protective -shaped drastic legal consequences entails. Such shocking cases shake and leave their tracks - not only among those directly affected, but in the entire society.
