Snowboarders seriously injured: police are looking for fleeting skiers!

Laterns-Gapfohl, Österreich - A serious accident in the popular Latern-Gapfohl ski area in Vorarlberg brought a twelve-year-old snowboarder in mortal danger on March 19, 2025. The boy was traveling on the slopes below the mountain station of the four-seater chairlift "Gapfohl" in the morning when he was cut by an unknown skier. According to the police, the Bube lost control of his board, fell and overturned several times before he stayed her stomach. Tragically, the skier did not take care of the injured and continued his descent after stopping briefly to look towards the boy. The seriously injured Bube was immediately flown to the State Hospital Feldkirch with the Gallus 2 rescue helicopter. Doctors diagnosed bilateral leg injuries that make serious medical treatment necessary. There is currently no description of the fleeting skier, which makes it difficult to investigate the police. The Rankweil police inspection therefore asks for the help of the population.
