Art and history: Vienna celebrates women for international women's day!

As part of the International Women's Day on March 8, a strong sign of the visibility of Jewish women will be set in the Jewish Museum of Vienna. From March 7, all women have free admission. The shop window exhibition is particularly emphasized with works by the renowned photographer Ylla, who discovered her extraordinary skills in Paris and became famous for her animal photography. At the same time, a special event program is also offered in the Natural History Museum (NHM) on Maria-Theresien-Platz for international Women's Day. Lectures, book presentations and tours will take place under the motto "Reframed: Women in focus" that illuminate the important role of women in the history of the museum. Particularly noteworthy is the temporary transformation of the imperial image of Franz Stephan I into a picture of women.
