On a discovery tour: Staufenberger motorcycle fans in the Alpine rush

This year the motorcycle friends from Staufenberg had a special challenge in front of them: an impressive tour of the Alps. Instead of the earlier trip to the island of Crete, Gerd Will, Günter Linker, Heinz Grölz and Norbert Zwiener put their saddlebags for a ten -day adventure by Bavaria and Austria. They not only enjoyed the winding routes, but also the impressive alpine landscape and the conviviality in the evening.

The journey to the Spessart started on the first day. They drove to Bodenwöhr via picturesque routes and through beautiful forests, which was the only motorway kilometers of the entire tour. The next morning the group woke up with sun rays that penetrated through the window and continued their journey on the Danube. The route led them through winding side streets that reached heights of over 600 meters, past historically important castles and monasteries to the city of Linz.

visit to the twin city

A special highlight was a visit to Mönichkirchen, the twin city of Staufenberg. This was intended on the third stage of the tour. The motorcycle fans drove through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau, enjoyed the breathtaking view, and even hit Mayor Andreas Graf, who welcomed them. During their stay, they explored the mountain landscape around the Hochweisel and experienced exciting trips on winding roads.

Although the weather did not always play along, the Staufenberger could not be dissuaded from their route. Even on rainy days, such as the section to Murau, the mood remained up. Regardless of some breakdowns that crossed their schedule a little, they managed to continue their journey and discover new places in the Austrian mountains.

On the seventh day, they drove on the famous Großglockner Hoch Alpenstraße, which she took closer to the Großglockner, the highest mountain in Austria. This route is a real paradise for motorcyclists and offers impressive views and numerous hairpin bends.

The return trip took the group easy, whereby they could decide on the last few days with trips around Lake Chiemsee and Franconian Switzerland. Finally, on the tenth day, they drove the 2800 kilometer -comprehensive route back to Staufenberg. With many new impressions and beautiful memories, one of the most beautiful tours of the year ended, www.giessenerzeiger.de .
