energy -efficient renovation and federal funding

The energetic renovation of buildings is not only funded in Lower Austria, but also nationwide. The [Wüstenrot] (https://www.wuestenrot.de/moderrot/foerderung-energetic renovation) reports of extensive support programs that are financially supported by the federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG). Funding is available for the all -round renovation of real estate, individual renovation measures, energy advice as well as for specialist planning and construction support.

supports of the programs such as the loan institution for reconstruction (KfW) and the Federal Office for Economics and Export Control (BAFA) offer different subsidies. For example, up to 70% grants for climate -friendly heating systems are granted, while up to 45% grant is possible for the complete renovation of a property.

new construction and renovation funding at the federal level

Another aspect is the new building funding, which was launched in 2023 by the [Federal Government] (https://www.bundes- Region.de/breg-de/aktuelles/neubau-und-sanierung-foerdern-2038426). This initiative aims to support climate -friendly building and the formation of residential property. With a budget of around two billion euros, around 46,000 new apartments were funded in 2023.

Since December 2023, the application for new funding in the area of "climate -friendly new building" has no longer been possible, but the funding for residential property remains entitled to apply. Funding bonuses should create incentives for energy -based renovation, and the basic funding rates will move from 2024 towards maximum funding of up to 20 percent for specific renovation measures.

In summary, it can be said that there are numerous opportunities both in Lower Austria and at the federal level in order to support and promote renovation and new construction projects.
