Musical variety in Perg: 75 musicians and the Cecilia concert 2023

perg. In the city of Perg, the city chapel with 75 passionate musicians ensures musical highlights. From the youngest who played at the age of 12 to the most experienced members who are proud 87 years old, the association combines people of all ages through love for music.

Kapellmeister Thomas Asanger has been leading the ensemble since 2012. Under his instructions, the musicians are motivated to perform at top performance. Wolfgang Leitner, the current chairman, emphasizes how important the targeted preparation is. This practice is not only important for the upcoming concerts, but also serves as a preparation for the concert classification, in which experienced jurors check the chapel's performance. This helps to lift the musical quality of the association and achieve higher standards. Asanger is also active as deputy state bandmaster in Upper Austria, which also strengthens his experiences and commitment.

The Cecilia concert

The date for the next big event is certain: On Saturday, November 23, the 55th Cäcilien concert will take place in the VAZ "Die Gymnaschell" at 8 p.m. The gates are open from 7 p.m. so that visitors have the opportunity to get in the mood for an evening full of musical performances.

The ticket prices are family -friendly: the tickets cost 15 euros in advance, reduced 12 euros, and children up to 14 years of age can take part in free. Tickets are available directly from the musicians or can be ordered conveniently at tickets@stadtkapelle-perg.at
