Large crowds at information events on the energy community of Aigerding

In the Schärding district, several information events on the renewable energy community (EEG) Aigerding have recently taken place that met with great interest. In communities such as Münzkirchen, Schardenberg and Suben, more than 1,200 people came to find out about the advantages and possibilities of this new energy concept.

The events were directed by experts who explained various facets of an EEG. The participants also had plenty of opportunity to address their questions directly to the organizers. The consistently positive response proves that the demand for information on communal energy projects is increasing, and many citizens show interest in actively participating the energy transition.

The Leader region Sauwald-Pramtal launched a comprehensive project in autumn 2023 that aims to strengthen cooperation in the areas of climate and energy within the 32 municipalities. A central element of this project is the foundation of cross -community energy communities. The EEG Aigerding, which now comprises twelve communities, is the largest of its kind in the LEADER region. Other similar initiatives are already implemented.

These meetings clearly show that awareness of the need and advantages of the common use of renewable energies is growing. The possibility of developing sustainable energy projects locally and actively contributing to reducing CO2 emissions has become of great importance for many citizens. The upcoming projects promise a sustainable transformation in the area of ​​energy supply for the region.
