Young karateka from Grieskirchen impress at competitions in Upper Austria and Vienna

The young karateka from UKC Grieskirchen caused a stir in two competitions on an impressive weekend. The tally of eight medals speaks for itself and shows the talent and hard work of these aspiring athletes.

The competitions took place at different locations, once in Upper Austria and then in Vienna. The Open Askö Federal Championships in Neuhofen an der Krems, where athletes from the Hausruckviertel competed, were particularly outstanding. Here the young fighters managed to win two silver medals and three bronze medals. It is remarkable to achieve such an achievement in such a short period of time.

Successes in Neuhofen

Among the medal winners were Clemens Flattinger in the U14 age group and Elina Hörmandinger in the U16 age group, both of whom achieved runner-up status. The girls' team, consisting of Mia Hinterberger, Elina Hörmandinger and Sophia Huber, also showed its strength and secured second place in the team ranking. Further successes were celebrated in the individual competitions: Hinterberger and Huber each secured third places in their categories.

Continued in Vienna

The following day the athletes traveled to Vienna for the Union National Championships. Despite the challenge of taking part in two competitions in a row, the Grieskirchen team mastered this double challenge with flying colors. Clemens Flattinger shone and won the title of national champion with an impressive performance. He also achieved a bronze medal in Kumite, which underlines his outstanding performance. Elina Hörmandinger was able to build on her previous successes in Vienna and achieved another second place after she had already won two medals the day before.

The overall achievements of the karateka are not only a reason to be happy, but also show the high level of talent in the UKC Grieskirchen karate club. The team and coaches are proud of their athletes' achievements through training and dedication. Further details about the competitions and the medal winners are in one Article on www.tips.at to read.
