Schillerschule collects 17,000 euros for circus project and good purposes

An impressive fundraising campaign at the Schillerschule in Wiebelskirchen provided great pleasure on Friday. The goal of the collection was to win funds for a circus project in March next March, which promises an exciting week for the students. But the result exceeded all expectations.

Daniela Hennes, the chairwoman of the school association, announced that the joint effort of the school community, including a coffee and cake sale, led to an earnings of almost 17,000 euros. "Nobody had expected this result," said Hennes at the ceremonial handover. The proceeds should not only benefit the circus project, but also used for charitable purposes.

Support for charitable purposes

The school management and the school association have decided to donate 4,000 euros to two organizations: the Ronald McDonald-Haus in Homburg and the “Heroes for Heart” association, which is involved in needy children and their families nationwide. The framework for this generous gesture is the "week of humanity", which takes place from November 11th to 17th. This clarified headmaster Patric John: "We want to make another contribution to this week."

In addition to the donations, the students showed commitment by visiting the attachment in Wiebelskirchen on Tuesday in order to give residents with Martin's Day songs. This loving interaction between the students and the seniors will surely be remembered in both communities.

The check was handed over at the schoolyard, where students, teachers and the representatives of the aid organizations, Dagmar Schwan from "Heroes for Heart" and Tanja Meiser from the Ronald McDonald House came together to appreciate the voluntary efforts. It was a moving moment that impressively demonstrated the community binding of the Schillerschule.
