Successor for Königsberger-Ludwig: SPÖ relies on women's power in Lower Austria!
In Lower Austria, the signs are on change: The SPÖ will nominate a new state councilor on Monday to succeed Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig. Media is circulating names, including active members of the state parliament such as Karin Scheele, who was already a health country councilor from 2008 to 2013, as well as Kerstin Suchan-Mayr and Elvira Schmidt. The focus is particularly on the possible candidate Eva Prischl, who is considered a favorite. Prischl, currently the third president of the state parliament and former tourism director in St. Pölten, has extensive experience at both the state and federal level. Your official election is expected for the next meeting of the state parliament on March 27th. ÖVP state manager Matthias Zauner meanwhile paid tribute to Königsberger-Ludwig and expressed the desire that the SPÖ would again welcome a cooperative personality in the state government in the future.
