An exciting event is taking place in the picturesque Wagram wine region that wine lovers should not miss. The Stetteldorf Wine Trophy 2.0, a tasting and sightseeing tour, promises an exciting opportunity to enjoy a variety of quality wines from the region and learn more about the local winemakers.
On a guided tour with the loess guide, participants gain comprehensive insights into the wine town of Wagram. The hike from winemaker to winemaker allows you to taste a total of 12 different wines that need to be evaluated. Interactive experiences like these promote understanding of wine production and the region's unique flavors.
Highlights of the event
A special highlight is the visit to Juliusburg Castle, a historic building that impresses with its impressive architecture. Afterwards, you will return by shuttle bus to Heurigen Thyri, a popular destination for regional cuisine. Here guests can expect a hearty snack, during which the results of the tasting of the wine trophy will be announced.
The event not only offers exquisite wines, but also the opportunity to taste 4 different types of bread from the Burger bakery in Großweikersdorf. In addition, the price of 35 euros per person also includes the loess guide tour, the water and wine tastings, the delicious pastries and the castle tour. However, drinks at the Heuriger must be paid for separately.
The four winemakers in focus this year are:
- Weinbau Thyri
- Weinbau Lederer
- Weinbau Schloss Stetteldorf
- Weinbau Trabauer
It should be noted that three of the four winemakers are new compared to the wine trophy from 2023, which ensures fresh taste experiences.
