An exciting event will be launched in Klagenfurt on November 25, 2024, offering companies the opportunity to find fresh talent for their apprenticeships. The first apprentice casting of the Klagenfurt-Stadt and -Land district offices will take place in exhibition hall 2 and is an ideal forum for companies to get in direct contact with motivated young people. Over 600 young people have already registered for the casting. Registrations come from students in the 8th and 9th grades, as well as from those who attend general secondary schools (AHS), vocational secondary schools (BHS) or polytechnic schools (PTS). These talented people are actively looking for an apprenticeship and are looking forward to presenting their individual strengths in personal discussions. Jürgen Mandl, President of the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce, emphasizes the important role of training companies by saying: “The training companies in Carinthia are the educational institutions in which the skilled workers of tomorrow are formed.”

The concept of apprentice casting allows companies to present a profile and the apprenticeships on offer. The young people can then register specifically for interviews and are given a permanent place on site to speak to up to 3-4 young applicants per hour in a time-limited format.
