Vanessa Arthofer, Simon Spari and Nicolas Binder are there to promote the action and to stimulate participation. social responsibility in sport
The initiative goes beyond the mere collecting of gifts. Daniela Mayr-Koren, the clutor manager of Austria, emphasizes that the club is not only known for its sporting achievements, but also for his commitment in social matters. "As a sporting figurehead of the state capital, we are also aware of our social responsibility and always take our time to implement social projects or to support them with all the might," she explains. This attitude was already evident in the past when the club collected durable food and hygiene articles for Volkshilfe Carinthia during a home game.
The Christmas campaign is an opportunity to give children joy in difficult life situations and show them that they are not forgotten. "Gifts mean attention, appreciation and the feeling of not being forgotten," says Gerald Stöckl, head of the SOS children's village Carinthia. During the Christmas season, these gestures are invaluable, because they offer hope and conjure up a smile on the faces of the children.
The mood around the campaign is already positive, and it is hoped that many people will join the initiative in order to jointly set a sign of solidarity. This type of commitment shows how strong the connection between sport and social responsibility is and how important it is to take care of the community.
