Craftsman bonus: Apply now quickly before the funding drops!

The craftsman bonus in Austria is still very popular. By February 2025, an incredible 468 million euros had already been funded in craft services, reported 5min.at. However, from March 2025 the funding will be reduced: instead of 2,000 euros, consumers can only get back up to 1,500 euros. Labor and Economics Minister Martin Kocher (ÖVP) emphasizes that this bonus not only secures jobs, but also benefits the customers who benefit from the supported services.

Applications for the craftsman bonus can be submitted from March 1, 2025 for services from 2025. Private individuals receive up to 20 percent of their labor costs reimbursed, which amounts to a maximum of 1,500 euros per year per person. Work in carpentry, painting, gas and plumbing is particularly in demand.
