Job opportunity for everyone: Financial administration is looking for over 500 new employees!

There are over 500 exciting job offers available in financial administration in Austria, as Finance Minister Gunter Mayr and his colleague Magnus Brunner report. They emphasize that these jobs not only offer a direct influence on shaping the country, but also represent a valuable professional perspective for applicants. Over 60 percent of the vacant positions are to be filled at the Austrian tax office. In addition, around 23 percent goes to the customs office and around 6 percent to the tax office for large companies and the fight against fraud. An interesting career entry is also planned for graduates of secondary schools and universities, particularly in the areas of law and business.

Attractive training positions in financial administration

A total of 80 apprenticeship positions are currently offered in various areas, including 72 in tax assistance and 6 in the customs office for administrative assistance. The courses, which promise practical training in a crisis-proof professional field, will start from September 2025. This fact underlines the importance of recruiting qualified new specialists to ensure service quality and efficiency in financial administration, as Brunner emphasizes in his statement.

Applicants who would like to start their career in the public service or who would like to return to work are welcome. The financial administration not only offers comprehensive training and further education opportunities, but also modern working time models and home office options that take the diverse needs of employees into account.
