FPÖ starts intensive election campaign: Focus Citizens, System under pressure!

St. Pölten, Österreich - The FPÖ Niederösterreich started with an intensive election campaign for the municipal elections on January 26, 2025. In the case of a poster presentation, the main motto "The system has to go - only FPÖ is presented on the side of the citizens". This clear announcement has already led to tensions between the coalition partners ÖVP and FPÖ, since the ÖVP state manager Matthias Zauner accused the freedom to operate with "hatred and lies". The FPÖ, led by state party secretary Alexander Murlasits, sees the upcoming election campaign as a historical departure and plans to be able to compete in 444 of originally 448 communities. The central message of the campaign emphasizes "more citizens, fewer masters", which underlines the position of the freedom to the existing political elite.

campaign strategy and topics

To win votes, the FPÖ relies on a diverse program with twelve thematic tables, the "blue vegetable tractor" and special sporting events. According to Murlasits, citizens have enough of the elite that "rules down from above" and require a real system change that brings power back to the citizens. "The community is the most direct level of politics," continued Murlasits. The campaign also includes direct confrontations with the mayors who often supported the Corona measures, which the freedoms consider to be critical.

With already 500 new members in the past three months, the FPÖ shows an upward trend and hopes for extreme gains in the upcoming choice. In order to achieve this goal, a broad campaign was developed that focuses on political issues such as animal welfare, security and integration as well as social aspects such as sports and health. In addition, the powerful slogan "We serve the others to the system" will continue to propagate from the FPÖ in order to gain the trust of voters and to actively address the upcoming challenges, what OES24.at and meinbezirk.at reported.
