In the night from December 20th to December 21st, 2024, in Weimar, Thuringia, a devastating house fire, which destroyed the entire house of a family to the foundations. The family of Lisa Halbauer, who lived in the said building with her parents and her 12-year-old nephew. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries because the fire brigade could intervene in good time and prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring houses.
The fire lost their home and all personal possessions, so that only the clothes they wore remained. In order to cope with the dramatic situation, Lisa Halbauer has launched a fundraising campaign on the "Gofundme" platform in the hope of collecting 100,000 euros. Currently over 12,000 euros have already been donated, which is a sign of support for friends, acquaintances and unknown people. In addition to financial grants, the family also received numerous donations in kind, including clothing, cosmetics and medication.
