Krampus and Perchten run inspires 2000 visitors in Altmünster!
Gschwandt, Österreich - The Krampus and Perchtenlauf in Altmünster, which took place on December 9, 2023, was a rousing spectacle that transformed the streets of the market town into a magical spectacle. Over 2000 spectators gathered to experience the impressive parade of the 25 groups with almost 500 runners. Accompanied by the distinctive sound of Bells and the Smell of Smoke, the visitors admired the artistically designed masks and costumes of the participants. As the District Rundschau , attention was paid to safety this year: A strict security concept was supported by the Altmünster volunteer fire brigade and additional security forces. Strict rules, such as a ban on alcohol and a ban on violence against spectators, ensured that the event runs smoothly. "Without the many hard -working helpers, such an event would not be possible," emphasized co -organizer Christian Pumberger.
Another highlight announced
In this festive atmosphere, the benefit run on December 22, 2024 will be given in Gschwandt next highlight to help the Neuhofer family, which was in need due to the sudden loss of the father of the family. The proceeds go to the "District Round Christkind" campaign, as reports the Salzburger Zeitung . In parallel to the ongoing events, the Gschwandtner prepared for their own Krampus run on December 9, in which around 15 different guest groups were expected. The run started at 6:00 p.m., with St. Nicholas being welcomed at the fire department depot at 5:00 p.m. For children, a cordoned off "anxiety zone" was set up, where the rough designs could not penetrate, which is an additional security measure.
