A second person was even carried away into the adjacent stream and threatened to drown. Since the site could not be reached with vehicles, special aids such as spreading tuer and lifting pillows were used in this challenging exercise. After both people were saved, the recovery of the tree trunks from the stream was still on the program. Overall, the complex exercise took about two hours and was successfully completed by around two dozen fire brigade members, as the Alkoven volunteer fire brigade reported.
