Accident in Lindau: 17-year-old injured – driver runs away!
Northeim (ots)
A shocking incident shook Katlenburg-Lindau when a 17-year-old pedestrian was slightly injured on federal highway 247 on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at around 5:01 p.m. A previously unknown driver of an off-road vehicle overlooked the young woman while he was trying to drive from a property along the sidewalk onto the main road. The impact was unavoidable and left the 17-year-old lying on the ground while the driver fled towards Bishausen without properly recording the accident.
The injured pedestrian refused medical treatment on site, but the shock is deep. The driver of the vehicle, a man around 30 years old, was described as male with short, brown hair, without glasses or a beard. The team that fled was a conspicuous off-road vehicle, equipped with a so-called “cow or bull catcher” at the front.
Important witness search!
The police in Northeim are determined to find the fleeing driver and are asking the public for help. Anyone with information about the incident or the unknown driver is asked to come forward. The incident raises questions and the urgency to uncover the truth is enormous.
