Carnival fever in Altenburger Land: Here are tickets!

In the Altenburger Land, the carnival season and numerous events for 2023 are imminent. With 14 carnival clubs, the region offers a colorful range of celebrations that are suitable for both children and adults.

The carnival association Motor Altenburg starts with its Weiberfasching on January 25th, where admission begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost 11.11 euros, whereby an early bird ticket is only available online for 8.11 euros. A children's carnival for the little guests takes place on February 15th, with admission at 2 p.m. The prices are 1 euro for children and 3 euros for adults. On the same day, the club also organizes its motor engine at 9 p.m. Here, too, the ticket prices of 11.11 euros apply (early bird 8.11 euros, only online). Group tickets are also available: 11 tickets for 100 euros-the 11th person receives free admission, but not in online sales. The Lucka Carnival Club (LKC) celebrates its 43rd season under the motto "Crazy and animal colorful". A big youth carnival takes place on February 15th at 8:30 p.m., with admission begins at 8 p.m. The tickets cost 11 euros and 15 euros in advance at the box office. The first evening event begins on February 22nd at 7:11 p.m. A large children's carnival is planned for February 23 at 3 p.m., followed by another evening event on March 1. The tickets for this will be available from January 11th in advance from an electric shooter and the Lucka petrol station.

The Wintersdorfer carnival club (WFC) welcomes a colorful carnival afternoon on February 15 at 3:11 p.m., also a children's event on February 16 at 3:11 p.m. Here the tickets for children cost 2 euros and 10 euros for adults. The first evening events take place on February 22nd and March 1st. Advance sales are in the Kulturhaus on February 11th.

The Carnival Club Trebenia (FCT) also starts its 50th season with a children's carnival on February 15. The first main event is planned for February 22nd, another event will follow on March 1. The ticket prices here are 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for children.

The 1st Starkenberger Faschingsgesellschaft (SFG) begins its festival on February 21st with a children's carnival. Events are planned for the adults on February 22nd and March 1st. The Nöbdenitzer carnival club will align its carnival dance on March 1st.

In addition to the carnival celebrations, Altenburg also offers other cultural highlights this year. The 2023 event plan is characterized by a variety of traditional events such as the Altenburger Museum Nacht, the Altenburg Skatstadtmarathon and the Altenburger Bauernmarkt. New formats such as the "Lange Liszt Nacht" and the Altenburg Children's Museum Night, which will take place on March 3, also promise a varied offer.

Special events such as the sports party of the district sports association Altenburger Land and the musical premiere "Anything goes" in the Altenburg Theater Gera are expanding the cultural program. Altenburg and Rositz also act as "Host Town" for the "Special Olympics World Games 2023" in June, which promises further exciting activities. Those responsible hope for good visitor numbers after there have been pandeme -related cancellations in the past two years.
