In a spectacular fraud, a 44-year-old self-proclaimed shaman, who is sought throughout Europe, was targeted by the police. Officials secured a treasure of millions in Maria Enzersdorf, Mödling district, consisting of cash, jewelry and valuables. The fraudster, known as "Amela", is accused of cheating several victims, including from Germany and Switzerland, to have cheated more than 730,000 euros. Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) described these actions as extremely insidious and explained that fraudsters often target older people.
