Geringswalde: Young talent electronics technicians enthusiastic about training at Get!

Geringswalde. In the lively gearwalde, a sensation is underway! Felix Zickmann, an enthusiastic trainee at GET-device construction energy system system-brings a breath of fresh air to the electrical area. As a prospective electronics technician in the state-of-the-art field of energy and building technology, he has his hands full- it is currently building multifunctional housings for the urgently needed broadband expansion. "It's varied and I really enjoy it!"

This aspiring company currently trains three trainees, including the first female electronic engineer to have been part of the team since 2022. Under the talented management of Mandy Thieme and Heiko Poppitz, proud 35 young people have been trained since 1993 and 25 of them were taken into a permanent job! This is not only a huge plus for the region, that also speaks for the quality of the training!

GET is not only a training company, but also a real talent smithy! "We are really proud of our first federal winner in the electronics profession from 2015!" Said Mandy with a bright face. The company is also present on the professional information day and brings a breath of fresh air to schools to win young talents. But the demand for the coveted training positions does not seem to be entirely to meet expectations. "Although we really make an effort, we only have a maximum of five applications," says Mandy, but remains optimistic.

and the next steps are already in the pipeline! "Additional training days and tutoring are a matter of course for us," adds Heiko. It remains exciting, because more and more young people are interested in digitization and photovoltaic systems. Get is ready for the future!
