Telenot doctor in Halle: Revolution started in the emergency services!

Halle, Deutschland - Halle . A revolutionary project has mixed up emergency medicine in Saxony-Anhalt! The telenot doctor, which was launched a month ago in the south of the federal state, causes a stir. Mathias Rudzki, head of the rescue service in Mansfeld-Südharz, reports on a brilliant start: "The project has started very well and is really well received by the emergency paramedics on the street." The numbers for the telenot doctor are currently around three missions per day, and there have been over 50 missions since the start!

technology meets emergency medicine

A new model has been tested in the districts of Mansfeld-Südharz and Saalekreis as well as in the city of Halle since the beginning of October. The telenot doctor supports the non-medical staff from afar in rescue operations without being on site itself. Patients are transmitted in real time, and communication is carried out via video calls-a real game chat for emergency medicine!

Interior Minister Tamara Zieschang (CDU) emphasizes that this innovative model covers both urban and rural emergency services. The findings from this model project should help to make the emergency services future -proof. However, it remains important that in critical situations, an emergency doctor is on site, which enormously upgrades the role of the rescue control centers. The pilot project is created for two years and could be extended if successful. In the Region, 52 ambulances and 10 emergency medical vehicles supply almost 560,000 citizens. Telenotians are already in use in other federal states such as Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony and Hesse. (dpa/sa)
