Kim Theisen: Young candidate for the Greens in the Koblenz constituency!
Koblenz.The election meeting for direct candidacy for the 2025 federal election in constituency 198 recently took place in Koblenz. The district associations of Alliance 90/The Greens Koblenz, Rhein-Lahn and Mayen-Koblenz jointly invited people to the event to elect a strong green voice for the coming months.
The election meeting brought a clear decision: Kim Theisen was unanimously elected as the direct candidate. At 25, she has already held some notable positions, including as spokesperson for the Koblenz Green Party and currently as leader of the Green Party in the Koblenz City Council. With this election she represents the Greens in the upcoming election campaign.
Support from the district associations
Theisen said she was pleased with the trust that the members of the three district associations placed in her. She emphasized the responsibility associated with this election: "It is an honor and at the same time a great responsibility to represent our constituency in the election campaign in the coming months. In today's world it is particularly important to work with energy and conviction for a sustainable future, social justice and a strong democracy."
The support for Theisen is consistently positive. Christopher Bündgen, the spokesman for the Koblenz district association, described her as one of the most promising political talents and the best choice for the constituency: "Kim is a young woman who puts human dignity and climate-friendly politics at the center of her actions. We are sure that she will represent the concerns of our region with passion."
Rebecca Stallbaumer, spokeswoman for the Mayen-Koblenz district association, also highlighted Theisen's commitment to climate protection and social justice: "She has proven that she is a strong and authentic voice who defends our green values with everything she has. Her past time in the Mayen-Koblenz district and the constructive cooperation across district borders characterize her career."
Yannik Maaß, spokesman for the Rhein-Lahn district association, also emphasized Theisen's professional competence and her powers of persuasion: "Kim grew up in Lahnstein and knows the people in our constituency. That's why we support her with all our might and look forward to a committed election campaign."
With the nomination of Kim Theisen, the Green Party's election campaign in constituency 198 has now officially started. Alliance 90/The Greens are convinced that they are well positioned to bring the important future issues in the region to the fore and win a strong voice in the Bundestag.
