On Wednesday, speed control became the scene for speeding drivers who ignored the speed limit! During a one-hour operation there was lightning ten times between Kaiserslautern and Mehlingen. There is a strict speed limit of 70 km/h, but some traffic offenders drove at dangerous speeds. The worst offender was caught doing 95 km/h - a clear case of lawn!

But that wasn't everything! Eleven more speeders were discovered within an hour on the busy federal highway 37 between Kaiserslautern and Hochspeyer. The summit? A driver zoomed through the checkpoint at a breathtaking 101 km/h while the limit was clearly set. In addition to the speeding violations, a driver was also noticed who committed another traffic violation with his cell phone to his ear. The police also discovered that a load being transported was not properly secured and another road user ignored the red light at a traffic light.

Violations have consequences!

With these increased controls, the law enforcement officers are not only targeting speeders, but also other dangerous practices on the road. The consequences for traffic offenders caught are clear: everyone has to expect high fines or warnings. These lightning-fast police actions are intended to help increase safety on the roads and raise awareness of speed limits!
