A new literary work is taking fascinating insights into the world of winegrowers on the Ahr. The Walporzheim author Werner Schüller presented his first novel with "vines, love and fate", which is about a long -established family of winegrowers in Ahrweiler. The story not only reflects the region's wine culture, but also shows Schüller's long -term connection to the homeland, which became clear in its over 20 previous non -fiction books. As a native of Ahrweiler and by profession, Schüller has now taken up a permanent place in the literature about his home region, such as the Rhein-Zeitung reported.
Werner Schüller's career
Werner Schüller, who was born in Ahrweiler in 1950, made a name for himself as a local politician and local researcher in the Ahr Valley. After his school days and a career at the Bundeswehr, he was also involved in various political offices for the region, most recently as a member of the city council of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. His numerous publications on the local history, including the founding of the Ahrtalschau and the Frühburgunder Forum, have contributed to strengthening awareness of the cultural roots of the Ahr Valley. In recent years he has also devoted himself to writing novels, which marks a significant step with his latest work. This is also undermined
at a time when the Ahr Valley made a big change through the flood disaster of 2021, Schüller uses his writer's skills to keep the memories and stories of his homeland alive. His works, which often take up memories of past times, encourage readers to deal with the rich history of the region and appreciate the local traditions.
