remscheid. In an unexpected setback for the citizens of Remscheid due to technical problems! Ottmar Gebhardt from the Bürgerbusverein has announced the alarming news: The bus, which mainly serves the outskirts and Lüttringhausen, is currently in the workshop and is expected to be able to drive on Wednesday.

"Unfortunately we don't have a replacement bus," complains Gebhardt. The other bus is also defective, which makes the situation even more dramatic. So citizens have to prepare for one day without this important transport service. The failures are not uncommon and have prompted the association to work for a new bus for a long time. The good news? A new VW Crafter Bus has already been ordered and is to be delivered between February and March 2025!

The anticipation for the new bus is big! The Crafter, who comes from the Tribus company from the Netherlands, has already been driven by the volunteer drivers and municipal utilities Wences Delgado. This new bus will not only improve the mobility of the older and movement -restricted people in Remscheid, but is also perfect for the narrow streets of the Büchel or Volkeshaus.
