Hosts in the Gaza Strip: Hope for soon exchange exchange grows!

In a tense diplomatic climate, discussions about a possible exchange of hostages between Israel and Hamas started. An Israeli delegation has traveled to Qatar to negotiate with representatives of Qatar, Egypt and the USA about the return of up to 100 hostages in the Gaza Strip. These hostages have been kidnapped by Hamas in the past few weeks after the conflict on October 7, 2023 was started with a brutal attack by the Islamist group on Israel, which led to over 1,200 deaths. According to the Times of Israel not only military representatives, but also members of the Israeli secret service Mossad and the domestic secret Schin Bet attracted to drive the negotiations.

In parallel to these negotiations, the families of the hostages protest in Tel Aviv. On October 17, 2023, parents and relatives gathered before the Israeli Ministry of Defense to draw attention to the situation of their missing family members. This demonstration took place as part of a meeting between Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. On the posters of the protesting stood, among other things: "Sons returned to their limits", which reflects the desperate hope of returning the hostages soon, such as Reports Show from Tel Aviv.
