Oktoberfest in Herzogenrath: Carnival resembles the Festival of colors!

A colorful festival was celebrated in Herzogenrath on a sunny Saturday afternoon. There was a lot of hustle and bustle at Ferdinand-Schmetz-Platz when the trade association invited to the Oktoberfest in combination with the traditional autumn fair. The event attracted numerous visitors who could look forward to various activities and local specialties.

A highlight of the afternoon was the "carnival introduction evening". Moderator Dennis Mühlberg led through the program, which brought together many carnivalists from all over the city region. The invited guests included various companies, including the Herzogenrath Stadtgarde and the KG de Bockrijjer, to name just a few. This variety of participants underlines the lively carnival tradition in the region, which gathered many supporters and celebrations year after year.

The appointment of the princesses

Part of the program was the official presentation of the new childish and adult princesses. The KG Ritzerfeld Jonge celebrated its 6 × 11th anniversary and proudly presented her designated children's princess, Antonia I. (Van Veen), who is accompanied by her loyal maid Lina (Reitz). Traditionally, the child princess plays an important role in the carnival, and her recording was celebrated with great enthusiasm by those present.

The appointment of Anna-Sabine Carl was the first princess in the long tradition of the Herzogenrat Karneval (AHK) committee. Stephan Rauber, the chairman of the AHK, presented the certificate of appointment with great applause. The father of Anna-Sabine, Herbert Meyer, had the honorable task of putting on the diadem to his daughter. "I am ready for the fifth season," said Anna-Sabine I. and encouraged all carnivalists to celebrate and cohesion. Her motto for the session, "colorful through Rodaland", should all remind you that diversity and community should be in the foreground.

In addition, she presented her charitable project "sunglasses", the proceeds of which are used for social purposes. Such initiatives are an integral part of the carnival and show how much commitment and passion is in these celebrations.

The afternoon was accompanied by a festive mood and initial anticipation for the foolish time in which people gather with friends and family to celebrate life. The designated Brander Bürgerprinz, Michael Stech, provided additional entertainment with musical contributions and his accompaniment.

The entire event in Herzogenrath was a successful start to the exciting carnival period, which received even more shine through the presentation of the princesses. The expectations are high and the preparations for the festivities are already in full swing. The upcoming carnival promises to become a colorful and unforgettable experience that keeps the tradition of this region alive.
