Carnival in Neubrandenburg: Women take over!

In Neubrandenburg, the Weiberfastnacht will take place on February 27, a special event where women take the Initiative. The KC Tollensia, the central organizer of the event in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, has planned a "big girl session" for this day at 7 p.m. in the freight station. The entrance that only permits women on “dirty Thursday” is offered a welcome drink for the participants.

In some regions of Germany, it is traditionally that women cut the ties to men for women. If a man defends himself against it, legal consequences can threaten. Another way to celebrate together offers the carnival party of the KC Tollensia on Saturday, March 1st, at 8:11 p.m. in the freight station, which is under the motto "forward, it goes back - welcome to the 80s". The following Sunday, March 2, a senior party will also take place at 2:11 p.m. in the freight station. Tickets are available from the ticket service on the market square.

Larger events that are in the context of the carnival were already held in the Neubrandenburg town hall on November 11, 2024. The Prince couple Kevin of the 58th and Gina-Loreen welcomed the guests. Supported by the KC Tollensia and the SV Turbine, Department of Tanzsport, the “Four Tore Musicians” entertained those present. The planned use of the construction pit for a hotel could integrate a subway station, and a shopping center could also be integrated into the train station.
