Future of the State Garden Show: Nidda's plans take shape!
Landscape design and the upcoming developments in Nidda attract a lot of attention. Mayor Thorsten Eberhard recently presented the stand for the planned State Garden Show (LGS) at a well -attended citizens' meeting. Interested citizens were able to ask questions and find out about the progress that have already been achieved.
Eberhard explained that of the originally four large projects, the future park project in Echzell is no longer part of the LGS. Other locations are currently being determined for the planned main topics. Here, Gedern's castle park, the Kurpark Bad Salzhausen and the Büdinger Bürgerpark are in focus, whereby the final decision about the Büdinger Bürgerpark is still pending.
Current planning and challenges
On the way to the implementation of the LGS, there are some challenges. In this way, studies in the spa park have brought up, which is why the probe probing was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, the building basic investigations for the playground are completed, and there is reason to be happy, since this area has now been included in the "living centers" funding area, which enables the application for additional funds.
Eberhard also presented a plan sketch of the lower spa park, which is to become an exclusively accessible area during the LGS. Particular attention is paid to the gardener market, which is supposed to represent a attraction for visitors through seasonally changing offers. In addition, a themed garden is planned near the source house.
The event area will extend along the stream towards Geiß-Nidda. A parking space is to be set up here to improve the accessibility of the park for the guests. A shuttle service is also considered to make the visit to the LGS as pleasant as possible.
Developments in Nidda are important, not only for the local population, but also in the context of larger regional progress. An example of this is the upcoming Nidda experience path, which will extend over 37.7 kilometers and will lead from the source to Ranstadt. This measure could significantly improve mobility and cycling in the region.
Various civil projects are also planned, including the planting of the town entrances with spring flowers to further beautify the community. This participation of the citizens shows that the LGS is seen not only as an event, but also as an opportunity for the community.
The Harb Bürgerpark is also promoted via Leader funds, which further drives the renovation and connection to the LGS developments. It was also impressively found that the upper spa park will be taken into account as a future expansion area in the planning.
The response from the citizens shows that many are interested in a positive and creative participation of the LGS. Questions like "What happens in the rain?" were addressed and showed that the citizens actively deal with the planning and question various aspects. The focus is not only at the garden show itself, but also on the integration of other local attractions that can round off the overall picture of Nidda.
In summary, the State Garden Show is a crucial step to improve the initiative in Oberhessen. Mayor Eberhard sees this a historically unique opportunity for the region and encourages residents to participate. Further information on the developments can be found in the detailed report at www.fnp.de .
