Refurbishment of Havelberger Straße: Construction site brings advantages for Pritzwalk!

A large construction progress in Pritzwalk causes excitement! Since April 2024, Havelberger Straße has been the focus of a comprehensive renovation project that is to be completed by the end of the year. The road between Parkstrasse and the level crossing is completely renewed - including the sidewalks and the greening.

The Stadtwerke Pritzwalk are also active! They renew all important lines, including electrical, drinking and sewage pipes, to make the infrastructure future-proof. The safety of pedestrians comes first: a new crossing aid was installed at the Reepergang. "Now a lane has been released towards the city center," explains city spokeswoman Beate Vogel. This street is only available to residents to relieve the construction site from through traffic. Access to local shops, such as the supermarket and the car dealership, always remains guaranteed.

The next work has already started! In the construction phase between Reepergang and the level crossing, work is now being continued eagerly. "Next, the planting with rotting and roses is on the plan that will take place in the coming weeks," said Vogel. Soon pedestrians can also use the walkways better without construction site barriers. Pritzwalk is actively on the way to increasing the attractiveness of Havelberger Straße!
