Election campaign in Pforzheim: posters conquer the city before the election!
On Friday, January 10th, the hot phase of the election campaign for the early Bundestag election, which will take place on February 23, will officially begin in Pforzheim. This election campaign presents the parties with special logistical challenges, since they are only available for a few months to position themselves and organize the necessary resources.
Six weeks before the election, election posters may be hung in Pforzheim. However, this happens under strict requirements. In Karlsruhe, for example, the poster election campaign started on January 2, while in Regensburg the posters had been allowed since November 23. Pforzheim has no quantity limitation for election advertising, which means that all approved parties can attach posters. In the elections in June, the parties adhered to the deadline and no fines were raised.
rules and regulations for posteration
In order to ensure the security of the public, it must be ensured that posters do not protrude into the road area. In addition, hanging posters must not be changed. A series of places is closed to posters; These include trees, traffic lights, traffic signs, as well as the place of the synagogue and the main goods station, which are considered the "place of memory". Posters, schools and daycare centers are also not allowed. Information signs on medical practices, restaurants or shops must not be covered.
The posters must be removed at the latest one week after the election, i.e. until March 2,, otherwise there are a risk of fines. Election posters are advertising material that is subject to permission, for which a special use permit is required. Approval can be rejected for danger law reasons.
The upcoming election campaign also affects the premature new elections on the basis of the traffic light coalition. This is an additional challenge for the campaign teams, especially when looking for election helpers and setting up voting offices. In other cities such as Berlin and Munich, the deadlines for the poster vary. In Berlin, posters may be hung up at the earliest seven weeks before the election, while these were already seen in Munich on December 31st.
The main logans of the parties include:
- SPD: "More for you. Better for Germany." With QR codes.
- Union (CDU/CSU): "Again forward."
- Greens: "A person. A word."
- FDP: "Everything can be changed."
- AfD: "Time for Germany."
FDP boss Christian Lindner expressed skepticism about the possibility of a new coalition with the SPD.
