According to police, the incident occurred around 1:40 p.m. A 59-year-old woman from the Tirschenreuth district was traveling on the B22 when she got onto the wrong lane for reasons that are still unclear. At that moment, an oncoming vehicle, driven by a 36-year-old driver from Weiden, came towards her.

The collision was so severe that both cars were no longer drivable and had to be towed to the scene. The two women were quickly treated by rescue workers and taken to the Weiden Clinic for further treatment. Despite the severity of the accident, the injuries can fortunately be classified as minor.
