Deggendorfer SC fights for upswing after ammonia damage!

The effects of a defective ammonia facility in the fortress on the step have been employed by Deggendorfer SC for weeks. Especially in the months of August and September, the preparation time for the ice hockey league team was significantly impaired. These technical difficulties seem to run through the entire season, since despite a donation campaign, the club still lacks a considerable sum in the six -figure range.

The situation is tense. The season preparation started around five weeks later than originally planned, which led to the team often had to switch to the ice rink in Straubing. The total damage was estimated at around 200,000 euros. Of this, two thirds of this are eliminated on the first team, while one third benefits from the club's young people. In order to cope with this crisis, a donation campaign was launched, which included numerous charity actions. So far, around 80,000 euros have been collected. In addition, the city of Deggendorf grants a grant of 90 euros per hour for the external ice ages of the youngsters.

focus on the sporty

"Why did it get quiet last?" Asks DSC Procurist Stefan Liebergesellschaft. He explains that the association wants to focus on sporting performance in order to enable a positive start to the season and not to start with a steamed mood. In addition, some bills are still waiting for their clarification, such as from the games against Selb and Passau. Despite the challenging circumstances, the association is grateful for the numerous donations from sponsors, partners and fans who come from Deggendorf and from the entire ice hockey community. "It shows that the ice hockey family holds together," said Liebesgesellschaft.

Nevertheless, the situation remains difficult. Despite the collected money, the Deggendorfer SC still lacks a six -figure amount that those responsible want to try to acquire during the current season. "The location remains tense, we are not over the mountain. It's tight, but we don't give up," he assures. These words reflect the club's fighting spirit, which, despite financial difficulties and the technical challenges that take up a lot of time and energy, remains determined to pursue its sporting goals.
