Topping-out ceremony in Bad Kissingen: The future of the district office is taking shape!

BAD KISSINGEN – A milestone is being celebrated! The general renovation of the extension to the district office is progressing according to plan, and at the exciting topping-out ceremony, district administrator Thomas Bold was enthusiastic about the progress. The outer shell is finished - now work begins on the interior and the vision of this modern building is taking shape. Bold gave a fascinating glimpse of what the new office space will look like in the future: modern design that is perfectly adapted to the main building, including a flat roof instead of the old pointed roof, which now gives way to a spacious interior.

With the creation of 113 new jobs, including 14 flexible share desk workstations, the extension will be tailored to the requirements of the future. Pedestrian friendly cyclists? They were also thought of! Special changing rooms will be set up to make it easier for employees to get to work. But that's not all: the renovation brings more light into dark, damp disaster relief rooms. Larger windows allow light to stream in - a welcome improvement for members of the disaster management leadership group.

Disaster protection at the highest level

A new transformer station with an emergency power system will be installed to ensure immediate power supply in the event of an emergency. E-charging stations in the inner courtyard fit perfectly into the modern design of the district office. Energy optimizations, such as a clear thermal insulation composite system and a solar system with 40 kWp, round off the forward-looking overall picture. Bold emphasizes: “We are setting the course for the future!” The demand for more space and better structure is growing, and the district office's central location makes it easier for both employees and citizens to access services.

Interior State Secretary Sandro Kirchner emphasizes how important these developments are, not only to counteract the shortage of skilled workers, but also to offer citizens efficient administration. A clear path into the future – Bad Kissingen is ready!
