Last night, around 7:45 p.m., the police were called to Hohenstaufenstrasse, where she discovered a seriously injured man in front of a residential building. The 43-year-old, a Vietnamese citizen, showed alleged stab wounds on the upper body. Despite the immediate rescue measures, all help came too late - the man died at the scene. His identity was unknown at this point, but the investigators have now identified him.

Investigations in the course

The police were on site with numerous forces and blocked the location. Extensive line security and search measures took place overnight. Two people, a 33-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both also Vietnamese nationals, were initially arrested. There is a suspicion that they could be involved in the incident. While the woman was released again on Tuesday morning, the man remains in custody - but due to an existing arrest warrant for another offense. It is still open whether he will be brought before the judge in connection with this case.

An autopsy of the deceased is planned for tomorrow to clarify the exact circumstances of death. The public prosecutor and the Ulm police have started the investigation and will report on further developments.
