Invisible violence at the workplace: every third affected!

Psychological violence at work is widespread, but often remains hidden. In a current survey by the German Statutory Accident Insurance (DGUV), 32 percent of employees with frequent customer or patient contact experienced verbal attacks in the past year, reports the Presseportal

Although the numbers are alarming, many companies show growing sensitivity to the topic and already initiate preventive measures. Every year between 9,000 and 13,000 accidents occur through violent attacks, but the majority of these incidents are not reported. This is questionable because the number of unreported cases is probably higher. The survey shows that only 12 percent of those affected have reported the incident from authorities. Only a little more than half reported the incident of her manager. A rethink is necessary to ensure the security and well -being of all employees.
