Baiersbronn conquers the gourmet world: Black Forest room at the top!
In the picturesque community of Baiersbronn, located in the northern Black Forest, the renowned Restaurant Schwarzwaldstube in the Hotel Traube Tonbach was awarded first place in the international ranking of the gourmet leader "La List" for the second time in a row. This makes it one of the nine best restaurants in the world, a remarkable success that underlines the high catering density of this region. Baiersbronn is unique in Germany because it houses two three-star restaurants-a rarity that attracts gourmets from all over the world, like the Merkur reported.
The Black Forest room, which is under the direction of the talented chef Torsten Michel, has been inspiring its guests with top French kitchen since 1992. The menu includes both modern and classic influences and offers an exquisite selection of dishes that are created from the best ingredients. Particularly noteworthy is the "Ikejime France" Seebarsch fillet, which is served with an exquisite sauce and is considered a taste experience among visitors. The restaurant service, led by Nina Mihilli and the charismatic sommelier Stéphane Gass, ensures an unforgettable culinary experience, as in Guide Michelin is.
A look back at the successes
It is also worth mentioning that, despite a devastating fire that destroyed the restaurant in 2020, the Black Forest room was reopened less than two years later. This comeback and the continuous award with three Michelin stars are proof of the excellent quality and the determination of the kitchen team. In the current ranking, the Black Forest room shares first place with other world -famous restaurants such as "Le Bernardin" in New York and "Guy Savoy" in Paris, all of which were rated 99.5 percent. Once again, it turns out that Baiersbronn and his restaurants are still a global catering size that inspires and attracts gourmets.
