Last nativity play with chord director Kosmus inspires the community
In the festively decorated Herz-Jesu Church in Weiden, a very special nativity play was performed on Christmas Eve, which will go into history. In front of a fully occupied audience, the parish celebrated the children's Christmette, in which the stage play "The Forgotten Christmas", staged by the small actors, was presented. This piece, which is kept in a Bavarian dialect, reflects the tradition and cultural heritage of the region, while the children took over the speech roles with a lot of enthusiasm and were supported by teachers and community assistants. The nativity play was rehearsed under the direction of Renate Kaudel's children's team and enjoyed great well-received as part of the service.
a farewell to applause
It became particularly emotional at the end of the service, as a long -time chord director Peter Kosmus, who has accompanied the nativity play musically for 40 years. The pastor thanked Kosmus warmly for his tireless work and emphasized that the nativity play would have been only half as beautiful without the musical accompaniment by his choir. Kosmus will retire in mid -2025, and his farewells were made to celebrate his services in the community.
On Christmas Eve, all security measures were observed to meet the celebrations under the given pandeme -related requirements. The 3G rule was and the staff took care of compliance with the safety precautions. In numerous samples, the children not only learned the texts, but also learned to deal with microphones and props, which was a greater challenge. The performance attracted numerous spectators who followed the performances.
The preparations for the children's nativity play began in October when invitations were distributed to the children of the Lindenschule and preschool children. The response was overwhelming and so all the desired roles could be filled. The presentation then took place on Christmas Eve at 4 p.m. as part of the children's Christmette, while the toddler service started at 2:30 p.m. These were moving minutes, which will remain unforgettable for both participants and the audience, such as Oberpfalzecho.de and Mittelbayerische.de reported.
